The Hideaway Golf Club La Quinta
Welcome to The Hideaway Golf Club La Quinta!
One of the nine cities in the Coachella Valley, La Quinta is located between two other resort communities, Indian Wells and Indio, and is almost completely surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains. The area was originally covered by the Pacific Ocean until natural events transformed it into the desert that it is today.
The La Quinta area was first inhabited by the Desert Cahuilla Indians, who dug wells in the arid land for their water supply. In the late 1800s to the early 1900s, agriculture thrived in the area using runoff water from the mountains as well as modern techniques for irrigation. .
